What You'll Do
- Provide Skilled SLP Care: Perform comprehensive in-home evaluations for geriatric patients with cognitive, dysphagia, aphasia, or dysarthria.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and execute effective strategies to improve communication, cognitive-linguistic skills, and swallowing function over multiple visits.
- Manage Your Visits: Schedule and conduct home visits at times that work for you and your patients.
- Collaborate for Success: Work with a supportive team to ensure coordinated care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Document Efficiently:Use one simple EMR system for all notes (with tools available to minimize documentation time!)
What You Need
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required for home health.
- CPR or BLS certification
- Driver’s license and auto insurance
- Physical + TB test (within the last year)
- Professional liability and business license (if applicable)
Where You'll Be Working
We have an opening for a home health clinician to serve South Central LA, a dynamic community that includes Compton, Huntington Park, and View Park. This area is known for its rich history and cultural significance, offering a fast-paced environment and a strong sense of community. You'll be minutes from some of the city's best soul food joints and close to major freeways for easy travel.
This area has a very large Hispanic population so Spanish proficiency would be beneficial, but is not required.
